Dimapur : Stressing on the need for churches in Nagaland to have direction, chief guest at the Dimapur theological colleges’ choral competition, Vitoshe K Rochill, said that the “Church needs to be firm and wise in dealing with the affairs of today’s world.”
The indigenous and contemporary choral competition held in aid of Trinity Theological College, Women’s hostel, the chief guest pointed out that churches need to drive people to the right place and the right platform. Pondering in the volatile situation prevailing in Naga society, Rochill said, Nagas need to be committed to their work and erase all traces of tribalism that is destroying Naga society.
Also calling on theology students to recognize their call to work for God, he remarked that “many people fail to recognize God’s call.” Rochill also reminded them that it is God who chooses them and not them who choose God. “God has called each of you for a purpose and has given you talent,” and urged them to think about their talents prayerfully.
Calling music the “flavor of life,” the chief guest also commented on the need for setting up more music ministries where music can be promoted.
Seven theological colleges in Dimapur- Missiological Research Centre, Discipleship Bible College, Trinity Theological College, Eastern Bible College, Agape Bible College, Withee Bible College ad Servanthood Bible College, today took part in the competition.
The competition was held at Sumi Baptist Church, Dimapur.
